6. The Wrong Home.
~ Angel's POV ~
I was so upset and ashamed with myself. I just let the boy of my dreams vanish all because of this stupid forced marriage that my foster dad planned. I never loved Daniel, let alone knew him. We were 5 years apart and I didn't feel safe with him. I wanted Conor, and only Conor. My foster dad is a obnoxious twat. I hate him. Whenever I see him, my blood boils and I can't contain my anger. I was raped by him. And by Daniel too. This world meant nothing to me before I met Conor. His auburn hair, blue eyes and that tiny mole under his eye made me complete. I truly love him. It's just the matter of telling Conor the truth. I know he won't want to talk to me again but this has gone too far. I'm pissed everynight due to binge drinks and self harm cuts on my skin and bruises from my 'husband'.
I decided to call Conor. First I hesitated and then dialled...
Angel: Hey Conor. It's me, Angel. I'm so sorry for not telling you. I've made you so miserable. I miss you.
Conor: Hi. Look, I thought you loved me. Not Daniel. I just didn't want to let you down. But having a fan as a girlfriend is a bit much for me anyway. But you need to tell me what happened, then I will forgive you.
Angel: Where do I start? I was walking home from school one day to notice two black cars. One with a 16 year old girl in and one was completely empty. I noticed it was the 16 year old who was beaten up by that girl gang. She looked ashamed and disgusted with herself. I wouldn't blame her. I was disgusted with myself too. I still am. Anyway, my foster dad tells me that I'm marrying this guy. Called Daniel. I start shaking and my heart is pounding like mad. I faint and I spent all night in the hospital. When I got home, my foster dad smacked me for making a fool out of him in front of Daniel. Which I don't believe. My foster mum supported me and ever since then, I've lied to so many people, especially you. I'm so sorry. *cries*
Conor: Everything will be fine. Just take the ring off and say you're saving it for your daughter. Then come and meet me at Starbucks. We have to talk face to face. Ok?
Angel: Yeah, that sounds great. See you there!
*End of Phone Call*
My mind is just flying in thin air as I get outside. The sun beams under my shadow and as I walk, I keep a low profile. I then see Daniel, who's walking with a mate. I run with my hoodie up and he sees me. I run to the corner shop, buy something and run out. I'm a fast runner. But not as fast as Usain Bolt. I finally get to the park and noticed Conor standing near the benches. He was on his phone and as he looked at me, I blushed. He was perfect.
"You look scary with make up dripping down your face!" He laughed. I smacked him playfully on the arm and cuddled him.
"Let's try this again. Do you love me, Conor?" I asked. We had this when we went out but I heard Conor ask me when I was drifting to sleep.
"Yeah I do. Do you love me, Angel?" I hugged him and said:
"Yes. I love you, Conor. I always will."
We kissed passionately and held hands whilst looking at the sunset. It was beautiful. As the pink and orange skies faded, we were surrounded by stars. Me, Conor and the stars. We kissed again and this time, it got steamy. When we got to Conor's house, the real fun started. Me and Conor.
And no one else to ruin this moment. Because all this time, I was in the wrong home. With the wrong people.
