1. Day 1 - part 1
Only woken 10 minutes before the school bell was due to ring I awoke. I didn’t want to let my mum know I had only just woken up, so I got my clothes on, grabbed my school bag and quickly left before anyone noticed. My eyes only half open I grabbed for my I-pod and earphones in my pocket. Listening to my music, I walked at a very quick pace to make sure I made it in time for school. At the main street I couldn’t see any moving cars or pedestrians. Assuming everyone had already arrived I started jogging, not wanting to be late for school again. I sprinted up the brick stairs outside the school in need of breath as I swung the door open. I walked as fast as I could up the corridor, straining my legs with my speed.
As I walked up the corridor, I noticed all the classroom doors were closed with the lights off. I didn’t think about it as my only aim was to get to registration on time. I got to my registration class and tried to open the door. Locked. I stood confused not sure what to do now, it was a Monday so there was definitely school on.
I jogged around the school to see if any classes were being held. I couldn’t find an open classroom. I panicked not being able to find a living soul. I leaned against the wall exhausted. I jumped out of my skin to hear the powerful noise of the fire alarm. I stood of the wall only to realise I had leaned on the fire alarm button. I ran to the front of the school, knowing it was not going to end well.
I sat on the wall at the front of the school waiting for anyone to come to the front. I started to fidget with my coin I had in my pocket breathing heavily. I felt my eyes prickling, the still objects around me going blurry. I could only hear the silence around me until two hands grabbed my shoulders. I screamed slipping out of their grasp then ran.
