1. Meeting Him
"Vanilla bean frappiccino please." I told the Starbucks cashier in my nicest voice, trying to ignore the annoyed look on her face.
"what's wrong with her?" asked my best friend, Coral as we stepped aside to wait for our drinks. "I mean I'd love to work here, it's like a never ending coffee break!"
Coral has never really understood the term "work", her motto has always been "party first, work never". Ever since we became room mates at the Acadamy of Art University in San Diego, it has always been like that; Coral gets us to all the parties, I get Coral to do her work and pass classes. I love her though, from her shoulder-length blonde hair, to her bright peach colored toenails.
As I stood by the counter twirling my long, wavy brown hair in my fingers, Coral gave me the once-over look, checking out my outfit.
"love the outfit," she said. "buuuut I think some more mascara would bring out those adorable grey eyes a bit more," as she said this she gave me her famous side smirk and a wink.
And I gave her my famous eye roll. Just as I was about to think of something clever to say back, a commotion by the door of Starbucks caught my eye. More and more people began to gather around the door and everything seemed to erupt In chatter and squealing.
"ooh let's check it out," Coral suggested, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the chaos.
"no thanks," I pulled away from her grasp and let her go see what was going on because I was way more interested in getting my frappiccino and started humming my favorite song by One Direction, "I wish" while I was waiting. Then I heard Corals voice from the crowd, I looked back and tried to read her lips or hear what she was saying above the noise. All I could get from her was "oh my gosh Ava! It's them, they're here! One-" then I zoned out because I heard "Ava, your vanilla bean frappiccino is ready," from the opposite direction. So I turned around to grab my drink, and smacked right into a tall-ish, braced-faced blondie. When I heard his soft, Irish accent say my name, I about lost it. For a split second, the chaos around me faded. Here I was, staring into those gorgeous blue eyes, frozen. Finially, as reality snapped back into place, he said it again, "Ava right?" all I could register was a nod and in return he gave me the slightest, most adorable grin I had ever seen and said "I'm Niall Horan."
