When we reached Isabella and my parents, I had no idea how to react to them, and I think they felt the same way.

We all just stood there and looked at each other. Jonathan was the first to speak.

“It is very nice to meet you both; even though we were sure you were both dead, I am sure you will forgive us for holding back a bit.” He said and tried to smile.

Both my parents nodded, and my father spoke, “we know that you children have been through a lot, we would like to hear all about it, but right now we need to get you to Vanaheim, and then we can rest before we travel to Starkad to meet the elders.”

Isabelle, Jonathan and I looked at each other; we weren’t in Vanaheim as we had thought to begin with. We just all nodded and followed my parents, we crossed the big meadow, it was so beautiful and I relaxed a bit, it reminded me of home.

After a while the landscape started to change, there were more small hills, the meadow changed to stones and sand, the wind started to blow. I took a deep breath, it was salty, we were closing in on the ocean.

I looked at Jonathan and Isabelle, who was walking on each side of me; they were focused on where they placed their feet, and trying to keep up with my parents.

When we got a bit closer to the beach I looked around and wondered what on earth are we doing here an empty beach, not a boat or a person anywhere?

My parents had stopped; they turned and looked at us. “Try and focus your sight, the mist is very thick here, there is a lot to hide for the normal people, if they should wander this far.”

I tried to focus, as I had learned, I blinked a few times, and just as if you walk out in to the sun and your eyes has to adjust to the light, my eyes slowly started to adjust so I could see through the mist. I was stunned at the sight.

It was a big harbor, with loads of big old wooden ships, all of them was loading goods on or off, there where hundreds off people wandering all over the place.

Small market stalls appeared along the small roads.

We did our best to keep up with my parents; to get lost here would be bad. They walked fast they winded in and out between the crowd of people.

After a few minutes we reached a large ship getting ready to leave the harbor. My parents hurried to get us all on board. We were shown down below, in the end of a series of small rooms; we got in a small room with three hammocks.

“Stay here till we come and get you.” My father said, then he turned and left the room, closing the door after him.

There we were the three of us left to ourselves again. The room smelled musty and the only light we had came from a candle, placed in an old bottle, on a small table in the corner.

I looked at Isabelle and Jonathan; I had no idea what to think of this at all. Where we in fact safe now, what would happen to us when we got to Vanaheim, where did my parents go. Why did they leave us here alone?

My head started to spin and Jonathan helped me to one of the hammocks, he helped me down, then he helped his sister get to her hammock, and then placed himself in the one closest to me, he held my hand and we just lied there trying to relax.
