Holding hands

1. holding hands

there he is, over there,

so I stop to stand and stare.

is he smiling at me?

oh lord, how can this be?

holding hands with the one I love,

my special gift from above.

am I dreaming or am I not?

could this be part of a bullies plot?

he is the one I love!

my special gift sent down from above.

  • Annie.GA very sweet, touching poem! I like the realistic emotions you have portrayed really well in a believable voice. All that was missing was punctuation, punctuation, punctuation!

    "There he is, over there!
So I stop to stand and stare.
    Is he smiling at me?
Oh Lord, how can this be?

Holding hands with the one I love:
    My special gift from above.
Am dreaming or am I not?
Could this be part of a Bully's plot?
He is the one I love,
My special gift sent down from above."

That's just one way you could punctuate this! Play around, but simply punctuate it like you would with any piece of normal writing: like this comment I am making (for example!) Other than that, very sweet, easy flowing and polished poem! XD
