"Ewww, Jeremy take it away! That's disgusting!"
Ally screamed as Jeremy ran at her with a worm.
"It's just a little worm Ally! Come on, touch it I dare you!"
Jeremy laughed as she ran away.
Ally turned round to look at him as she ran and smiled.
"Can't catch me, can't catch me!"
She didn't see the tree root until her foot connected with it and she tripped.
Ally pushed herself off the floor and hugged her knees in tight.
"Ally are you alright?"
Jeremy dropped on the floor next to her.
Ally's lip trembled and she tried to stop the tears that were already filling her eyes.
"You'll be okay." Jeremy gave her a hug. "Look, I fell over last week and it's all better now." He pulled back his trouser leg to show her the faint bruise.
Ally nodded.
"Thanks Jeremy." She smiled.
Jeremy smiled back.
"It's okay Alley."

A crumpled piece of paper hit me on the head.
I turned round, an angry frown already crossing my face. Whoever had thrown that had just interrupted my daydream.
My eye caught Jeremy's and he grinned.
The frown slipped from my face.
Was that you? I mouthed.
Jeremy paused and seemed to consider it. Then he nodded and grinned all over again.
I hate you! I mouthed, but smiling like an idiot at the same time.
Even if I hadn't smiled, Jeremy would have known I never meant it. He knows I would never tell him that and really mean it.
"Get a room!" Stacie hissed next to me.
I rolled my eyes and turned to face her.
"Why, jealous?" I whispered.
Stacie flushed. "No." She murmered before turning away.
Everyone knows that Stacie liked Jeremy, but he turned her down in front of everyone and that put an end to that.
I bit my lip and glanced back at Jeremy who was actually staring at the board for once.
The time when Stacie had liked him had been one of the only times when I had been scared about us. I mean, we've known each other since we were like 5 so nothings happened, but everyone expects it to. Whenever we walk together, everyone says how cute we are. I act embarrassed of course, but inside i'm so happy that people think what I think.
But seriously, I really thought I was going to lose him to Stacie.
I'd been so scared. Almost, lost. I know that if Jeremy ever does actually go out with anyone, it'll just kill me.
The movement caused me to flinch and I realised i'd just been staring like I was in a trance; at Jeremy.
He frowned.
You alright? He mouthed, concerned.
My cheeks burned and I nodded back before quickly looking away.
Just then the door opened and Mrs Stanburry walked in, a girl trailing behind her.
"Okay children, this is Rebecca Good. She'll be joining your class."
Everyone craned their necks to look at the new girl; including Jeremy.
While he was looking, I took advantage to look at him.
I love the way his hair quiffs slightly to the side and how when he's curious his blue eyes go big and round.
Then I noticed the slight pink haze in his cheeks.
I frowned and tried to place what emotion he was feeling. I'm usually good at it, but I don't think i've ever seen this one before.
He looked almost, flustered.
I followed his gaze and with a start, realised that it was the new girl who had caused this.
She had hair that was so blonde it was almost white and her eyes were a shocking blue, almost as blue as Jeremy's.
I looked down at myself.
The new girl was like a prettier version of me, I thought with a start.
My gold/blonde hair may be shiny, but it had nothing on her fragile white/blonde fluff that complimented her ivory skin. And her eyes...such a pretty blue, much nicer than my blue/grey ones.
My jaw clenched.
I didn't like her.
And I liked even less the fact that her eyes were locked on Jeremy's.
No. I don't like that at all.
