1. madness or love?
It was madness,
But he was told it was love…
He had unwillingly been drawn into it…
And now the symptoms are all there
His legs went wobbly and his eyes gazed the ceiling,
Whenever she came near,
Music becomes more melodious,
And the days turn brighter.
He lost himself,
Lost his sense and everything else…
Lost his courage to speak the truth
And say his feelings aloud
Afraid of rejection, afraid of pain,
But more afraid he was of her not knowing…
So he stood with a card in hand,
And a letter within it,
Ready to be brave and say aloud the words,
For her and the world to hear.
Maybe this was madness,
But he didn’t want to be cured…
Not now, nor ever….
