Chase: Cecelia sequel

9. Run, the chasers are coming (Cecelia)

Mila and I are so busy trying to think about what to do, that it takes the creatures being right under our noses before we even noticed. A lot like the bombs, they seem to rain down on us one by one, and I feel that familier sense of fear return to me. But this time, I am determined that things will go differently. I can see the creatures closer now. They have razor sharp, blood red talons poking out of each side of their mouths, teeth that are purple on the points; probably venom, deep purple and red dotted scales covering most of their bodies, and their body shape is similar to that of a dragon's, apart from one detail, their wings are green and fully covered in feathers.

Then, I realise something, I can talk to animals, but before now I never even realised how much of an advantage I hold over others. If I can talk to animals, then I can not only hear them planning their next move on us, but I can get them on my side. In order to do this, I have to appear calm and collected, which will be very challenging under these circumstances. With no time to explain to Mila, I have to hurry. They are gaining on us, I don't know where I get the confidence from, but my mouth opens and the language I know so well, that feels so natural, flows from my tongue. I can feel Mila's eyes, astonished and puzzled, boring through me.

Within minutes, I am on a creature's back with Mila at my side, as we both fly through the sky at top speed, over The Great Tower. The creature (Who's name is Barbetia) refused to take on Mila aswell, probably due to some sort of fight they had earlier involving her escape, so Mila is flying solo, literally!
