1. Prologue

My life has sequentially built up to this moment – the inevitable choice. Somehow it appears anticlimactic in contrast to all those preconceived ideas. I feel nothing, not even the beckon of freedom entices an emotion. I can’t help wondering; was it all worth it, any of it? I rest my eyes and remember - It’s ok. I register its remarkable unremarkability, like an uninspiring dream. I see it, the shadow of a wish no longer confined by words, decidedly drab when obtainable. Reality grasps my imagined masterpiece, streaking it with fear and dissatisfaction until its beauty diminishes to a fleck of splendour within an ugly mess. The time is now, farewell expectations.

    seriously? I've always been very shy about letting people see my writing, its my sister who convinced me to create an account on here and upload my stuff so it means alot for you to say that. It is really hard to get recognition on here, probably because there are so many talented writers, don't know how you managed it!!

    Dann FairfaceReally? But it's written really well, I'm going to be doing the same with mine. Once it's all down I'm going to go back and edit the hell out of requiem, I really don't like it as it stands. And I don't think that I'm that well known on here, but I don't mind.

    Read the new chapter to 'the unseen' btw, it is really interesting, I can see it winning for sure

    Amy-JayYeah, I appreciate you saying that but there are things i really want to change, to make it flow better etc. I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist, seems you are too since I think the requiem series is amazing :) editing it will be a mammoth task!
    You are! You have so many fans! I agree it doesnt really matter though, writing is a very personal thing. I'd rather stay true to myself and write about things that, I hope, will make people think and enagage a select few readers than sell out and write about one direction to get more recognition!

    So glad you liked it, even that i can see a few issues with but I think its more important to finish it at the moment! Don't know about that but thanks anyway :)
