5 Podcasts You Should Listen to

and why!

Untlil last year, I didn't realize that I'd been using my iPhone completely wrong. Because, on this iPhone, is a podcast app that lets you download podcasts about literally anything that you can think of.

1. My Dad Wrote a Porno

Ah, the one that started it all. I've still got no idea what my boyfriend was looking for when he came across this podcast, but I am so glad that he found it. Basically, it's a week-by-week reading of the erotic novel 'Belinda Blinked', written by the father of one of the hosts. The three hosts are eccentric, funny, and enjoyable to listen to. The porno itself isn't very well-written, can often be cringe-inducing, but is very entertaining.

2. My Brother, My Brother, and Me

I'm actually quite new to this podcast. My boyfriend (again) introduced me to this "advice" show. The three brothers read Yahoo Answers questions together, which basically reads to some really, really funny stories about all sorts of things like haunted dolls, ambien-induced sleep eating, Hogshorts School (featuring the Shorting Hat), and Teen Google. Seriously, just go listen to it.

3. S-Town

This podcast jsut came out 2 days ago, and I've finished all seven episodes. It's what inspired me to write this blog, actually. I don't exactly know how to describe it, because I don't want to give anything away. It's abotu a dead guy, clocks, and mercury poisoning. Do with that information what you will.

4. Serial

Easily my favorite podcast on this list, Serial is a week-by-week telling of a story. The first season focuses on a boy who was convicted of murder that probably shouldn't have been (think - Making a Murderer before Making a Murderer) and the second season focuses on the disappearance, capture, and return of Bowe Bergdahl in relation to the Army and the Taliban.

5. Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!

I used to listen to the radio show on my way home from work on NPR on Sunday mornings. However, having recently quit that job, I've taken to listening to the podcast version of the show. Basically, a game show (but not really, no one ever wins prizes) full of fun facts. My personal favorite part are the limericks at the end of the show. Also, the first answer is always Donald Trump.
