Anxiety

Anxiety is thought of in a lot of different ways. But you really have to have it to know what it truly feels like. Most people think that all it consists of is constant break downs and panic attacks. And while that is true for some people, there are many different forms of anxiety, so that is not the only way it appears. For me, I do breakdown a lot. But I usually cope by listening to music, singing, and running. I run until my lungs feel numb and until my legs are on fire. I run until I have to stop in order to breath. How else am I supposed to stop feeling that constant nagging of anxiety? The simple answer is to not feel anything at all. To do something that takes all of your attention. Until that one thing is the only thing you can do. Until you have to breath. Sometimes, when I finish running I am gasping for air, I cough until it feels like my lungs will fall out. I love running. It is something that takes away the anxiousness, the depression, time. It is something that takes away the pain. Axiety is not an emotion. It is a problem, but like all all problems it is fixable. And sometimes the best kind of drug isn't a pill, but rather just something that takes your mind away, even if it only lasts a second, minuet, hour, day, year. Just go somewhere else. Be something else. Be better than your anxiety. Be you.
