Author of the Month for June 2016

The Movellas author of the month for June is...

Our author has mumbled a mountain of funny, encouraging, heartfelt messages out to all of us on Movellas. She writes stories too, amazing ones well worth the read, who has co-authored stories with a few other writers here. However, this movellian is more known for her kindness, her great ideas, and bomb writing skills - not so "nerdy" as some might think B-)

What makes our author of the month such an awesome member of the writing community here has a lot to do with the fact that she's so involved in it, welcoming new users, congratulating competition winners, and otherwise charming the rest of us. We're proud to announce that the Movellas' Author of the Month is Beautifully Musical Nerd! Below you can find our interview with her in learning more about the person behind it all. We're happy to announce that the Author of the Month for June 2016 is...

 Beautifully Musical Nerd

I was looking in the app store for an app that I can read stories on and I found Movellas. Some of the stories on here got me thinking of writing my own and also the encouragement of my mother. She encourages me every day to write.

Which three words best describes you?

Weird, creative, and caring

Where do you find inspiration for your writing?

Mostly in some songs but when I’m reading a good book some things come to mind for stories. And when I’m watching a show and they say something I like I might use that in my own words.

Who is your favorite author (outside of Movellas) and what are you reading these days?

I love John Green, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and Elizabeth Goudge. And right now I’m reading a book called The Kind of Friends We Used to be by Frances O’Roark Dowell. It’s a sequel to another book that I loved and I really recommend it to others.

What are you writing at the moment?

I’m been trying to work on my story called "How Did We End Up Here." It’s a One Direction fanfiction. But I have also been working on a sort of diary kind of story about a girl trying to become a writer. It’s not out yet but I’m thinking about publishing it soon.

Which one of your Movellas would you recommend others to read? Please include a couple lines about the movella in describing why

I would have to say my movella "Confusion" since I’m writing it with two amazing writers and I love how it’s coming along so far. This movella I think is by far my favorite to update and people seem to like it. My coauthors and I really enjoy writing in it and adding to it.
