1) Watership Down by Ryan Adams
We can almost see some of you making a face at the mention of this book. It’s a classic and is very (VERY) frequently required reading in school. But that doesn’t make it a dull read. This book will break your heart and it’s so worth it.
2) Young Avengers by Kieron Gillen
Although not a novel in the classic sense, this graphic novel is all about friendship and family - definitely something to snuggle up with on an Autumn evening.
3) Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
With Halloween around the corner, this creepy classic is a must.
4) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
5) A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
If you loved The Kite Runner, Hosseini's second novel, you will love this one!
