Be Thankful for Stories!

Today is Thanksgiving in America, but as we are an international community of writers we thought we should celebrate too!

In America, Thanksgiving is marked by spending the day with family and friends, eating an incredible dinner and giving thanks (duh!) for the important things in your life.

On Movellas, we celebrate Thanksgiving a little differently...

...by writing!

We have an incredible selection of books to giveaway including "Girl Heart Boy", "What's Up With Jody Barton?" and "Fallen" by Lauren Kate. All you have to do is enter into one of our quick writing challenges:

1) Write 500 words saying what you are thankful for and why. Kind of like a nice school challenge.

2) Write 500 words saying what you are NOT thankful for. What you could really do without in your life.

3) Write the opening scene to a story with the title "Another Thanksgiving, Another Disaster".

4) Write the opening scene to a story with the title "When 5 boys come to Thanksgiving".

Once you have done this, leave your entry in the comments underneath and we will decide on our favourite over the weekend.

And remember, today is a day to spend with your family - so you are only allowed to spend 90% of your time writing and reading on your computer!
